Grilled Coffee Honey Chicken

Grilled Coffee Honey Chicken - SAVAGE BEE-CHES®

This was a recipe put together to feed our aways hungry teenage boy.  After getting home from a full day of work.  It's pretty simple and can easily be altered to fit your taste.  If you prefer sweeter or more teriyaki. Just taste the marinade before adding to the chicken. 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs skinless chicken pieces (breasts or thighs)
  • 2 tablespoons SAVAGE BEE-CHES® Hawaii Coffee Honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:

    • In a mixing bowl, combine the SAVAGE BEE-CHES® Hawaii Coffee Honey, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, olive oil, red pepper flakes, and garlic salt. Whisk together until well blended.
  2. Marinate the Chicken:

    • Place the chicken pieces in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let the chicken marinate for at least 15 minutes. For deeper flavor, marinate for up to an hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat the Grill:

    • Heat your grill to medium-high heat. Ensure the grates are clean to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill the Chicken:

    • Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess. Place the chicken on the hot grill. Grill each side for about 6-7 minutes or until fully cooked, turning once. Keep a close eye as the honey in the marinade can cause the chicken to char quickly.
  5. Serving:

    • Let the grilled chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking to retain its juices. Serve hot with a side of steamed rice, a fresh pasta salad, or your favorite summer greens.
