Welcome back to SAVAGE BEE-CHES® Old Town San Diego, our unique Honey Boutique and Outfitter nestled in the heart of Old Town San Diego. The only honey boutique in San Diego. As you step inside, you’re immediately enveloped by the sweet scent of honey and greeted by a vibrant display of tantalizing honey varieties alongside high-quality outdoor gear. It might seem like an unusual combination at first, but it perfectly embodies our theme of celebrating nature, whether by enjoying the great outdoors or savoring the sweet delights produced by honey bees.

Taste and Explore

Our boutique offers an immersive experience where visitors can taste an array of honey varieties, helping them find the perfect match for their palates or that special recipe. Curious about trying something new? This is the place to explore flavors you won’t find anywhere else. Alongside our honey products, the boutique features an assortment of bee-related goods such as pollen, beeswax, propolis, and wax candles. We’re also excited to soon introduce royal jelly from a reputable supplier.

Gear Up

For the adventurers, our outfitter section is stocked with both large and small item hiking and camping gear from renowned brands like Big Agnes, Garmin, ULA, and Jetboil. We’re currently transitioning our gear selection from thru-hiking to day-hiking to better serve the San Diego community—though our range has already proven invaluable to many Pacific Crest Trail hikers. If you know someone interested in hiking, camping, or hunting, point them our way; SAVAGE BEE-CHES® Old Town is San Diego’s only small business outdoor shop remaining after many have closed due to larger chains.

Exciting Collaboration with Hey Sugar!

We’re thrilled to announce a sweet new addition to our boutique—Hey Sugar! dessert shop will be opening a kiosk right inside our store starting July 10th . This collaboration with Hey Sugar!, another Black woman and veteran-owned business, promises to bring an exciting blend of sweet treats and artisanal honey products to our community. We’ve long admired Hey Sugar! for their delectable southern comfort desserts, and together, we have plenty to offer.
